대사관은 한국 영화 홍보를 위한 비영리단체인 Korean Cinerama Trust 와 공동으로 제6회 뉴질랜드 한국영화제를 2.23(월) 웰링턴 , 2.27(금) 오클랜드에서 주최한다.

금번 영화제에선 넬슨 제독과 비견되는 위대한 제독 '이순신'이 단 12척의 배로 적선 130여척을 격퇴한 세계전쟁사에 길이남을 해전을 다룬 '명량'을 단독 상영한다.

The 6th Korean Film Festival takes place in Wellington on February 23rd and Auckland on the 27th. This year it features the block-buster film The Admiral: Roaring Currents, a story about Admiral Yi and his legendary Battle of Myeong-Nyang. Admiral Yi is often described as the greatest naval commander in Korean history, and said to be on par with Admiral Horatio Nelson. Admiral Yi won the Battle of Myeong-Nyang with just 12 battleships against some 130 ships of the enemy. More information about the film is available at the link below.
