4월 23일(금요일)부터 4월 26일(월요일) 오후 6시부터 자정까지 하버 브리지 Vector Light 의 Anzac Day 기념 조명 및 사운드쇼를 진행할 예정이다.

올해의 주제는 '서비스와 희생'으로, 군 복무를 한 전,현직 여성군인들에게 경의를 표하는데 중점을 두고 있다.

2021년에는 뉴질랜드 퇴역군인들의 기념일이 크게 두 번 열린다.

첫 번째는 여성 보조 공군 창설 80주년 기념일이다. 1941년 1월 16일에 창설된 목적은 뉴질랜드 공군(RNZAF)의 더 많은 병사를 해외로 파견할 수 있도록 하는 것이었다.   WAAF는 제2차 세계 대전 동안 뉴질랜드에서 군 인력 부족을 보충하는 중요한 역할을 했었고 약 4,750명의 키위 여성들이 복무했다.

두 번째는  일본 패망 후 비무장화와 동원해제 및 일본인 송환 업무에 참여하는 Jayforce로 명명된 UN군으로 일본에 상륙한 지 75주년이 되는 해이기도 하다. 12,000명 이상의 뉴질랜드 병력이 일본의 항복 직후 몇 년 동안 복무했다.

오클랜드 카운실는 오클랜드 RSA 및 지역 커뮤니키 그룹들과 함께 오클랜드 전역에 걸쳐서 80여개의 퍼레이드 및 행사를 진행한다.  

행사 참석이 어려운 사람들은 안작데이 를 기리기 위해서 아래의 문양을 오려서 레터박스나 창문에 붙이는 것을 추천했다.

Other details: Secure Parking will offer Anzac Day parking at The Old Brewery, corner Khyber Pass Rd and Suiter St (entry off Suiter St) for a gold coin donation. Proceeds to the RSA. Attendants are on site to collect donations. Use of the pay machines not required.
