2011년 12월 31일 뉴질랜드 정부가 발표한 2012년 ‘신년서훈’(New Year Honours)에서 용킴컨설팅의 김용욱(  YONG KIM ) 고문이 아시안커뮤니티와 비즈니스에 기여한 공로를 인정받아  한국인으로는 처음으로 뉴질랜드정부에서 수여하는
공로 훈장(Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit (MNZM) 수여자로 발표되었읍니다. ( http://www.dpmc.govt.nz/honours/lists/index.asp).

김용욱고문은 1990년 뉴질랜드로 이민을 와 뉴질랜드 간호사로 또한 병원통역사로 일을하기도 했으며, 뉴질랜드 우유제품등 뉴질랜드 특산물을 수출 하기도 했으며,
1992년에 ASB BANK 에 입사하여 말단사원으로 시작하여 지점장까지 역임하였으며 현재 성업중인 ASB BANK 한국인 전용지점을  최초로 설립하였읍니다.

그후 2002년 용킴컨설팅과 프로퍼티저널을 설립하여 현재까지 운영하고 있으며 또한 부군과 함께 일식당을 운영하고 있읍니다.
슬하에 3녀가 있으며 큰딸 성은양 은 현재 뉴질랜드 외교관으로 근무하고 있읍니다
 
 지난 2011년 4월에는  뉴질랜드내무부 산하  소수민족부에서 실시한 ,
전세계에서 뉴질랜드로 이민온 이민자들 중,  선구자역활을 한 성공한 이민여성,  7인중의 한사람으로 선정되어서 TRAILBLAZERS(Inspirational Journeys of

뉴질랜드 훈장제도에 대하여 간단히 설명하겠읍니다.

뉴질랜드 훈장수여는 봉사활동을 하거나 또는 성공한 사람들에게 축하하고 감사함을 전하는 방법으로 훈장을 수여하는 제도입니다.
이 훈장은 뉴질랜드의 평등주의 사회를 실현하면서 또한 더욱더 봉사와 성공을 격려하는 사회를 키우고자 함입니다. 

-뉴질랜드에서 수상하는 훈장의 종류와 등급

(1) ONZ: The Order of New Zealand

The country’s highest honour, restricted to 20 living persons at any time, plus additional members and honorary members.

국가에서 최고등급의 훈장으로 살아있는 수혜자가 20명을 넘지않도록 수여한다.

(2) KNZM/DNZM: Knight or Dame Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit

For pre-eminent contribution in any field achieving at a national or international level, recognised by peers and demonstrating sustained commitment.

 어떠한 분야에 탁월하게 공헌한 (국가적, 국제적) 사람에게 수여한다.

(3) CNZM: Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit

For a prominent national or international role, leading role in regional affairs or distinguished contribution to an area of activity.

특별한 분야, 또는 특별 지역행사에 탁월하게 공헌한 (국가적, 국제적) 사람에게 수여한다.

(4) ONZM: Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit

For a distinguished regional or national role in any field.

특별한 지역이나 국가적으로 한분야에서 뛰어나고 우수한 사람에게 수여한다.

(5) MNZM: Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit

For achievement or service to the community usually in a national role.

국가적으로 성공을 하거나 지역사회에 봉사한 사람에게 수여한다.

(6) QSO: Queen’s Service Order

Recognises valuable voluntary service to the community or faithful service to the Crown or public sector. Usually awarded for service at national level.

지역사회에 자발적으로 봉사활동을 하거나 공무원으로서 성실한 봉사를 한사람에게 수여한다 (보통 국가적).

(7) QSM: Queen’s Service Medal

Similar to QSO, but usually awarded for service at a local or regional level.
