The Purpose of Albany Community Coordinator is to facilitate events in the area covered by the Upper Harbour Local Board. All events will be available to everyone, focussing efforts on raising the profile of activities for youth (12-24), Senior Citizens and other minority groups. They will report direct to the Albany Community Coordinator Trust Board.

The position of Community Coordinator is a full time role (40 hrs per week) and may include weekends. Hours worked are flexible as duties and facilitation of events requires. The Statutory holidays apply, which should be taken without conflicting to events and in agreement with the Trust Board. Previous experience of similar work desirable but not essential but applicants should be able to demonstrate the qualities outlined in the job description.

Albany Community Coordinator – Job Description

Purpose
Albany Community Coordinator facilitates community events in the area covered by the Upper Harbour Local Board as per the contract with Auckland Council, outlined in Schedule 2. Events will be available to everyone in the community, focussing efforts on raising the profile of activities for youth, Senior Citizens and other minority groups.
The position of Community Coordinator will report direct to the Albany Community Coordinator Trust Board and will be subject to an annual review.

This is a full time position of 40 hours total per week and may include weekends. Hours worked are flexible as duties and facilitation of events requires. The Statutory holidays apply, which should be taken without conflicting with scheduled events and in agreement with the Trust
Board. Previous experience of similar work desirable but not essential but applicants should be able to demonstrate the qualities outlined in the Job Description.

The successful applicant’s work will be reviewed after three months.
