Jobsearch Seminar for Migrants

Migrant Action Trust is an Auckland-based charitable organisation working with migrants. We regularly holds jobsearch seminar ("Start Right in New Zealand") for new migrants. It is developed based on our years of assisting migrant jobseekers.

Topics include:

- Understanding the environment we arrive into

- CV writing and jobsearch tips

- Radical job search strategies

- "Must Know" before sending job application

 

In September and October, we will hold the seminar in the following locations.

 

  • Friday, 20 September (12.30pm to 4pm)

Onehunga Community Centre (83 Church St, Onehunga)

 

  • Tuesday, 1 October (9am to 12.30pm)

Waitakere Community Resource Centre (8 Ratanui St, Henderson)

Highland Park Community House (47 Aviemore Dr, Highland Park)

 

  • Thursday, 17 October (12.30pm to 4pm)

  • Saturday, 26 October (12.30pm to 4pm)

AUT Tower WT 806 (corner of Rutland and Wakefield streets, Auckland Central)

 

Participants can avail of the after-seminar support services including individual CV assistance, interview training, and mentoring service.
