The Auckland Regional Migrant Services (ARMS) offers settlement information and advice to new settlers in the Auckland Region, and plays a key regional coordination role in settlement support. We have resource centres in Auckland and Manukau. Settlement Advisor
(Part-Time Position, Ref No: SA 01)The ARMS Trust has part-time Settlement Advisor positions, for enthusiastic, suitably experienced Samoan or Chinese or Arabic speakers, with good written and verbal English. These positions are for 8 hours per week for 9 months, starting on or around October 1st. Applicants must have relevant knowledge and/or suitable experience related to settlement issues and information provision, a NZ driver’s licence, and NZ residency.
Brief responsibilities/criteria for these roles are as follows:
- Providing settlement information and referral advice to newcomers in Samoan or Arabic or Chinese (based at Manukau) or in Chinese (Three Kings).
- Assisting with settlement information activities for newcomers.
- CAB and similar experience desirable.
