A fourth tranche of 17 Special Housing Areas (SHAs) that could yield more than 8000 new homes across Auckland has been announced by Housing Minister Dr Nick Smith and Auckland Mayor Len Brown.

The Auckland Housing Accord was agreed 11 months ago and since then, it has facilitated thousands more sections to be developed and thousands more homes to be built, says Dr Smith. This is the momentum and scale we need to improve housing affordability and supply in our largest city."

The Auckland Housing Accord, agreed last year by Dr Smith and Mr Brown, provides for the creation of SHAs by Auckland Council with the approval of the government. Qualifying developments in these areas can be streamlined and fast-tracked. The 17 new SHAs have been adopted by Auckland Council but are subject to formal approval by Cabinet and a recommendation to the Governor-General.
오클랜드 주택 협정은 지난해 스미스 주택 장관과 브라운 오클랜드 시장에 의해 조인되었고 오클랜드 카운슬이 정부의 승인으로 특별 주택지역을 조성하게 된다. 지정된 지역의 개발은 간결하고 빠른 방법으로 진행되게 된다. 17개의 새로운 특별 주택 지역은 오클랜드 카운슬에 의해 채택되지만 정부의 권고와 내각의 공식 승인에 영향을 받는다.

The new SHAs are located in Northcote, Mount Wellington, Papakura, Orakei, Pine Hill, Mount Eden, Avondale, Hingaia, Birkenhead, Ellerslie, Avondale, Whenuapai, Mount Albert, Takapuna, Tamaki, and Orewa.
새로운 특별 주택 지역은 노스코트, 마운트 웰링턴, 파파쿠라, 오라케이, 파인 힐, 마운트 이든, 마본데일, 힝가이아, 버켄헤드, 웨누아파이, 마운트 알버트, 타카푸나, 타마키, 오레와 이다. 이전 파파쿠라 골프장과 오파헤케 로드 상에 인접한 지역에 350동의 새로운 주택이 건설되도록 계획 중이며 추가적으로 3,500 동의 주택이 웨누아파이에 건설될 것으로 예상되며, 주택부지들이 또한 버켄해드, 아본데일, 마운트웰링톤에 계획되고 있다.
